Drivers standings after Singapore GP | Leclerc and Perez fight for P2
- GPblog.com
Max Verstappen saw his run of victories come to a rough end in the Singapore Grand Prix, but the Dutchman need not worry about the world championship by any means. The gap between Charles Leclerc and Sergio Perez is big enough to take the world title in Japan.
The world championship leader did not have a strong race weekend, but still managed to get some points with his seventh place. Leclerc's second place means the difference between the two drivers is now 104 points.
Perez is not far away from Leclerc, as he faces a gap of just two points in the standings. George Russell follows in fourth place with Carlos Sainz right behind him. The Spaniard earned one less point than his rival this season.
Lewis Hamilton seems to have to settle for sixth place. He has 32 points less than Sainz, while Lando Norris is a whopping 70 points behind. Nicholas Latifi is still the only driver empty-handed this season.
