Constructors' standings after Singapore | Three big winners and losers

Ferrari did excellent business in Singapore on Sunday in the battle for second place in the constructors' world championship. Thanks to second and third places from Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz respectively, the team managed to increase its lead over Mercedes by dozens of points.

Indeed, the German team led by Toto Wolff failed to score more than two World Championship points. George Russell had to start from the pit lane and ultimately failed to penetrate the top ten. Lewis Hamilton went into the mistakes and therefore missed out on a possible podium finish. In the end, he had to settle for ninth place.

AlphaTauri and Alpine were the other two big losers of the weekend. The French formation saw both Fernando Alonso and Esteban Ocon retire with engine problems, seeing its large lead over McLaren completely evaporate. In fact, McLaren is now four points ahead. AlphaTauri started with two drivers in the top-ten but scored only one point. Aston Martin seesawed over the stable in the World Cup standings.
