Lando Norris, Max Verstappen and Carlos Sainz had a pre-race chat in Singapore and discussed their worst crashes. Norris casually accused Sainz of a lack of talent.

Sainz, Norris and Verstappen trump each other

The British medium The Independent cited a humorous chat between the McLaren driver, the Red Bull Racing driver and the Ferrari driver in which, when asked, the three discussed heavy crashes from their F1 careers. Norris particularly remembers the others' crashes and says to Verstappen: "Your biggest one was Monaco." Verstappen: "Mine? Well, that depends; front impact, yes, side impact was, I reckon, was Silverstone [2021]."

Not wanting to be left behind, Sainz interjects: "My heaviest was 46G." "Then you moved the whole barrier!" responds Verstappen. "How did that actually happen?" Norris sees his chance: "A lack of talent. " Sainz's crash was in 2015 at the Russian Grand Prix in Sochi. It was the Spaniard's debut year. Norris, teasing here, has also had several crashes in his F1 career. His last serious crash was at the Spa GP in 2021.
