Sergio Perez and Guanyu Zhou will each receive a five-place grid penalty for the United States Grand Prix. The two drivers will take a new internal combustion engine. More drivers are likely to follow with grid penalties.

Multiple grid penalties in Austin

Perez and Zhou will both be moved back five places for Sunday's race. According to various reports, Charles Leclerc will also incur a grid penalty this weekend. The Monegasque changed his engine and possibly components of his internal combustion engine. Leclerc will be moved back at least five places as a result. Teammate Carlos Sainz will also incur a grid penalty, according to Sky Sports. Ferrari does not normally change components until Saturday, so the official announcement will follow later this weekend.

Max Verstappen has a new exhaust in Austin, but the Dutchman will not receive a grid penalty for this. Perez has also received a new exhaust from Red Bull Racing. The team can clinch the constructors' title this weekend if it has a lead of at least 147 points over Ferrari after Sunday's race.
