Leclerc unhappy with Ferrari result: "The pace was there, but whatever"

Charles Leclerc again fell victim to an indecisive Ferrari in qualifying at Interlagos. He was the only driver put on intermediates, which ultimately resulted in a tenth starting position in the sprint race. After the session, the driver was clearly disappointed.
"We were expecting some rain which never came," a visibly balking Leclerc began at Sky Sports. "I will speak with the team and understand what we can do better in those conditions. I am extremely disappointed because the pace was there, but whatever."
Leclerc balks at result
The Ferrari driver is still confident about his chances for the sprint race, but will start it immediately behind. "We still have the car but now we need to get on it and do everything right for the rest of the weekend," he continued.
The Monegasque usually relies on his team to make the right decisions, but on more than one occasion that has worked out adversely for the driver. "I accepted the decision to go on inters, then I just waited for the rain that never came," Leclerc concludes.
