Sergio Perez received many questions about the Brazilian Grand Prix on the final weekend of Formula 1 in Abu Dhabi. Max Verstappen did not want him to pass it last week, which would be due to the race earlier this year in Monaco. For Perez, however, there is no reason to comment on it this weekend, he told Viaplay.

Where Verstappen was working on his fast lap in qualifying at the time, Perez suddenly lost control of the car.

Perez wants to focus on GP Abu Dhabi

Red Bull Racing decided to put out a statement on Thursday, deciding to be critical of itself. However, according to the team, it is important to keep the situation internal and focus on the final race of the season.

For Perez, the stakes are still high. The driver can secure second place in the world championship, provided he manages to keep Charles Leclerc behind him. Speaking to the Medium, Perez therefore revealed that he wants to focus completely on Sunday's race.

"Monaco was a long time ago," Perez began. "I don't want to raise any extra speculation. Sometimes you make a mistake in Monaco. You already saw that I almost flew off at Turn 1. I was trying to set a faster time on that Saturday. I don't want to comment further on it or on Sao Paulo."
