Put two great champions next to each other and you get an interesting conversation. For the MotoGP's YouTube channel Marc Marquez and Max Verstappen were put side by side to talk about each other. For instance, Marquez discusses Verstappen's unique qualities, while the Dutchman reveals that he would love to get on a motorbike one day.

For the Honda Racing Thanks Day, Marquez and Verstappen were both present in Japan for a demo run. One on a motorbike and the other in a Formula One car, but afterwards the two were also put side by side. With six world titles in MotoGP and two world titles in F1, two icons sat together.

Unique qualities of two world champions

''What I like about Marc is that he is a fighter, he will never give up. He is very determined and a hard racer," sums up Verstappen when asked to name three words to describe the motorbike driver. ''Ambitious. His ambition is never enough. Talented and a 'killer'. You have to be a 'killer' in a sport if you want to be the best,'' Marquez said about Verstappen.

Asked about the Red Bull driver's unique quality, the Spaniard pointed to his performance under pressure. ''The way he manages the pressure. Many drivers are fast, talented and fast in the test, but in the race, on the day, to manage all the pressure is the most difficult thing and he manages really well."

Verstappen's future

Verstappen is then asked what he loves about MotoGP. "These guys are crazy, the speed you have on the straight and the horsepower on the bike. I would like to try it one day,"

Marquez asks him why he is not allowed to, and then the two-time world champion is clear: ''The team (Red Bull Racing) does not allow me to do it." Marquez has to laugh and argues that Verstappen has enough time now anyway. '' Yes, I can break a leg now,'' said a smiling Verstappen.
