With Alessandro Alunni Bravi's announcement, the team bosses for 2023 are known. Normally no big changes in this area, but for next season there are many new faces to discover. We list them for you.

Nothing will change at the reigning world champions. Christian Horner has been the team boss at Red Bull Racing since their inception in 2005, thus starting his 19th season in the premier class of motorsport in 2023. Toto Wolff at Mercedes is also a familiar face, having been the team boss since 2013.

Ferrari provides the impetus

A change can be seen at Ferrari, though, where the much-discussed Mattia Binotto has been replaced by Frederic Vasseur. Vasseur comes over from Alfa Romeo, where he is in turn replaced by Alessandro Alunni Bravi. At Alpine, nothing changes. There, Otmar Szafnauer is still the man at the helm.

The other change we see is at McLarenAndreas Seidl left, who was brought in early by Sauber as the new CEO because Vasseur left. Seidl will not take on the role of team boss, Bravi was appointed for that, but Seidl is expected to play a major role in the transfer from Alfa Romeo to Audi, to then take on the role of team boss from 2026.

At McLaren, that left a gap, but it was filled internally with Andrea Stella. The former Ferrari racing engineer, has been with McLaren since 2015 and is now making the promotion to team boss. We also see a change at Williams. There, former Mercedes chief strategist James Vowles has been appointed as the new team boss. Vowles replaces the departed Jost Capito.

At a few other teams, meanwhile, we see the familiar names. Mike Krack stays on at Aston Martin, Guenther Steiner is the face of Haas and Franz Tost is also long-standing AlphaTauri.
