The Formula 1 season is just a month away, which means Max Verstappen is in full preparation. The Dutchman started training with personal trainer Bradley Scanes in early January. He has now completed four weeks of training and is feeling good.

Normally, Verstappen would have started preparations a bit later, but partly because of the busy Formula 1 schedule, the motorsport class chose to start as early as the beginning of March. For the two-time world champion, however, it does not matter, he told De Telegraaf.

"We also started a bit earlier this year. It's not such a problem for me because I actually had a bit more free time in December," Verstappen states. "I really liked that. That makes it easier to go full steam ahead at the beginning of January."

Realism among Verstappen present

Verstappen stressed that he is confident that Red Bull Racing will be strong with the RB19 this season, but that he does not yet know the qualities of the competition. The team must therefore wait for the first race in Bahrain to see what the proportions are actually like. That Red Bull had less time in the wind tunnel, he does not immediately see as a problem.
