Is Spa-Francorchamps still Verstappen's favourite circuit? Max responds!
- Cas van de Kleut
Max Verstappen leaves no one wondering: the Spa-Francorchamps circuit is his favourite. He confirmed this once again to GPblog and others in Hungary.
The Belgian Grand Prix is high on the list of many drivers when it comes to their favourite Grands Prix. The circuit in the Belgian Ardennes is known for its great height differences and for having many corners through which the cars go at high speed.
Spa-Francorchamps still favourite Verstappen?
However, the Eau Rouge-Raidillon corner combination has been modified. This corner combination has always been spectacular, only adjustments were made due to safety reasons. Despite the modifications, Verstappen believes the corner is still fun: "No, I like it. The route is flat, but I mean, even in a GT3 car, it's either flat, you know, so it's just how the corner has evolved, I think, also in terms of safety, which I fully understand."
Verstappen therefore sticks to his opinion of the Spa-Francorchamps circuit: "But it's still, for me, my favourite track. Every time I go there, it's just, you know, the layout with all the flowing corners. I think it's very nice."
