Timo Glock does not have a good word to say about what Lance Stroll did in the Brazilian Grand Prix. The Aston Martin driver retired before Sunday's race had even started properly. He spun on the formation lap, and the Canadian drove straight into the gravel trap: end of race. Incomprehensible, according to Glock.

Because Stroll got stuck, the start was delayed. "For me, there are a few things that are not right here. Losing control of the car on the way to the grid, okay, but then driving it into the gravel like that, [that's] really not possible! Besides, Stroll already destroyed the car in qualifying," the analyst fumed in conversation with the German branch of Sky.

Glock denounces Stroll's charisma

Stroll did not seem very bothered by it and said it was possibly down to the brakes that he went around the track. "I am also annoyed by this apathy when Stroll appears in front of the reporters' cameras and microphones. There are videos of press conferences where you just shake your head. Such behaviour makes me speechless, this driver really is a laughing stock. For me, there are many talented drivers who deserve a Formula 1 cockpit more than him," Glock said.

Stroll has picked up critism for his actions in Brazil, including from the likes of Jeremy Clarkson. However, the Canadian sometimes beats his two-time World Champion teammate Fernando Alonso in qualifying and the race. This included Stroll's result at British Grand Prix, where he started 8th and finished 7th.
