Formula 1 teams and drivers will have to battle cold conditions during the 2024 Las Vegas Grand Prix weekend. Switching on the tyres and finding grip on new sets will be a challenge as the temperature barely gets above 10c in Sin City.

Daytime conditions will generally be comfortable, but the action in Vegas takes place in the evening. The sun will set around 16:30 local time, two hours before the earliest sessions on track. The good news for teams is that the chance of rain is relatively low. Max Verstappen can secure a fourth (consecutive) World Championship this weekend.

What is the weather forecast for the 2024 Las Vegas Grand Prix?

The action starts on Thursday [Friday morning in Europe] with FP1 and FP2. While the temperature will be warm at 18 degrees Celsius during the day, it will become much colder by the time the sessions start, with a forecast of 7 degrees Celsius. The chance of rain is low and the humidity will be at 22%. The forecast remains similar for Friday night [FP3 and Qualifying], with temperatures expected to be around 8c.

Saturday, the day of the Las Vegas Grand Prix, is expected to be slightly warmer. It will be around 10c. However, it is expected to be much windier than the previous two days. Winds of around 10mph are expected, from the south, rather than the north. While the chance of rain remains low, it will be slightly more humid than the previous days at 34%.
