Here are the drivers competing in Formula 2 next season!
After a championship decider in Abu Dhabi, Gabriel Bortoleto was crowned F2 champion in 2024. Together with the Brazilian, many youngsters like Andrea Kimi Antonelli, Oliver Bearman and for the second half of 2024 Franco Colapinto could get promoted to Formula 1, while Isack Hadjar also hopes to hear the Red Bull family confirm his permanent seat as well. Here are the F2 drivers for 2025, who must hope they will have the chance to graduate as well.
Many Formula 3 frontrunners will join the series for next season as expected. Invicta Racing hope to complete the same turnaround as Gabriel Bortoleto did with Leonardo Fornaroli. The Italian will now have the chance to win the F3 and F2 championship in back-to-back seasons similarly to the Brazilian. However, Fornaroli's last victory came in 2021 when competing in the Italian F4 Championship.
One of the most exciting names on the list is Red Bull junior Arvid Lindblad, who will drive for Campos Racing. Top advisor Helmut Marko previously declared that the Briton is their 'biggest talent' at the moment. After both of their drivers will compete in Formula 1 next year, F3 runner-up Gabriele Mini will join Prema Racing to follow Bearman and Antonelli. The Italian could already step on the podium in the series in Azerbaijan when Bearman drove for Haas that weekend.
So far, MP Motorsport are the only team that will compete with the line-up they finished the 2024 season. Richard Verschoor joined ahead of Qatar from Van Amersfoort Racing, while Oliver Goethe got promoted from F3. Kush Maini will pair up with Jak Crawford at DAMS after joining from Invicta. The winner of the final Feature Race at Abu Dhabi, Joshua Durksen will continue with AIX Racing.
