'Major sponsors will follow Perez out the door if Red Bull oust him'
Sergio Perez could be staying at Red Bull Racing for 2025. Or so have Marca stated, anyways. The mexican driver has been under the spotlight due to his performance level throughout a large portion of the season, but now, according to the journal he is set to start the upcoming season as a main driver for Red Bull Racing.
Have Perez' sponsors come to his rescue?
Apparently the Mexican driver has found new sponsors, which in addition to Carlos Slim's backing, have tilted the escales in his favour. Perez has, according to Marca, been given the green light to start working on new apparel for the 2025 season.
The journal claims that Perez' unannounced sponsors are linked to Red Bull Racing for as long as the mexican driver still has a seat at the Austrian team. Meaning that if Perez was to be ousted from the Milton Keynes based outfit, they would follow the Mexican out the door.
What about Lawson?
Liam Lawson has been the leading candidate to take over Perez seat in the event of potential dismissal of the driver of the #11 car. If the rumours are true then the up and coming Visa Cash App RB star will have to wait yet again for a Red Bull promotion.
