Norris on F1 Secret Santa gift: 'That's disrespectful!'
- Savannah Lenz
Every year, the Formula 1 drivers play Secret Santa, where they have to guess who got them the gifts. This year, not everyone was completely happy with what they received. One driver, moreover, also joked about sending his gift back.
When Lando Noris first saw his Secret Santa gift, he wondered what it could be. As he opened it, he said this could only be from one or two people; Fernando Alonso or Lance Stroll. This is because Norris says those are the only two who are better than him at his gift.
Padel Lessons for Lando
Norris received a gift certificate for Padel lessons. When he opened it, he said, "Which I don't really get because if it's from Lance or Fernando, I understand because they are better than me at Padel, but if it's from probably any other driver". Norris then joked with the interviewer that he would be offended and he "would probably give it back to them".
As the gift is not from Stroll or Alonso, Norris joked, "That's disrespectful". When asked who he thought would disrespect him like that, his answer was immediate. "George!" The Padel lessons were indeed from George Russell, who Norris said he beat at Padel last week. "Let's put this back in here and return to sender," he concluded jokingly.
