Hamilton's 2025 title hopes will depend on this, according to Horner

Christian Horner has also weighed in on Lewis Hamilton's chances at clinching the drivers' title in 2025 with Ferrari. While the British team principal acknowledges the seven-time world champion's capabilities, he also highlights how important Hamilton's start to the season will be as far as getting the Scuderia behind him to support his title race, instead of teammate Charles Leclerc's.
Is Hamilton a driver to be reckoned with in terms of the drivers' championship? ''If he gets off to a good start, and he gets a team behind him, and he finds his confidence, and he rides off that energy, then I can see him becoming a real contender in this championship,'' said Horner to GPblog and other select media present at the F1 75 Live event.
''But I think so much will depend on how he gels with the team in that early part of the season,'' added the Red Bull chief, highlighting the importance behind how well-engrained both the seven-time world champion and the Italian team can become during the first stages of the championship.
Horner 'knows what Hamilton is capable of'
Hamilton being a world champion with multiple teams, he's no stranger to adapting to a new environment, and extracting the most he can from them. ''We all know what Lewis is capable of, and if he's re-energized in a different environment, absolutely, I think he could be a real factor this year,'' concluded Horner.
