Lewis Hamilton is going on his 18th year in Formula 1. Throughout that time, there have been many changes to the sport. Some he is a fan of and some he is not. Pre season testing is something he still does not like, even after all this time.

Lewis Hamilton is not the only driver who has spoken out against pre-season testing. A major point against the three days of testing is that it only gives drivers three sessions, or one and a half days, to get acclimated to the car. Many of the older drivers have argued that there is not enough time for new rookies coming into the sport to get used to the F1 cars.

During a testing day press conference at the Bahrain International Circuit, Hamilton was asked if his feelings towards the tests have changed.

He said, "No. I still am not a fan of testing, but I've really enjoyed the testing that I've had this year." This year marks the beginning of a new stage in Hamilton's career. Now, the British driver dons the colour red.

Hamilton continued, "I mean, I'm super grateful for the TPC testing that I got to do. If I only had this day and a half, I definitely wouldn't be in the position I'm in now, in terms of how comfortable I feel with the car."

He admits, "There's still some way to go" with the SF-25, but he adds "at this point, I'm just excited to get racing."
