Ferrari "bringing a few updates" to Baku - Binotto

Ferrari are set to reel out their first set of development on the SF90 at the next Grand Prix in Azerbaijan, with Mattia Binotto revealing they are “bringing a few updates”.

Ferrari have failed to keep up with Mercedes’ early high standard despite appearing to have the raw pace on their World Championship rivals. Ferrari have been unable to maintain consistency with their best result being P3 in Bahrain and China respectively, however, these results were hampered by reliability issues and team orders.

The team are hoping to unlock more of the car’s potential at the next few Grand Prix and Binotto expects the first stage to get underway in Baku.

“[Ferrari is] bringing a few updates to Baku, as the first step in the development of the SF90,” Binotto said in Ferrari’s preview.

“Coming off the back of three races that definitely didn’t go the way we wanted, this GP is another important moment for us.

“We have prepared for it very well, analysing all the data we have acquired up until now, looking at areas where we can improve and working on adapting the car’s set-up and the power unit management to the characteristics of the track.”
