Lewis Hamilton topped the final practice session before qualifying for the Spanish Grand Prix and both Sebastian Vettel and Valtteri Bottas spun their cars.

Charles Leclerc was second fastest, ahead of Bottas and Vettel.

It was another good session for Haas, who had Grosjean and Magnussen in fifth and sixth.

Vettel suffered an early spin on cold tyres down at the final sector chicane, but he was able to get running soon after.

Bottas’ spin was a bit more damaging for his session. Attacking at turn five, Bottas lost the back end and ended up beached in the gravel, wheels spinning but not going anywhere.

That brought out the red flag but the cars were soon back on track.

Hamilton, Leclerc and Vettel traded fastest laps before Bottas came back out and immediately went top. The top four all went for fast laps at the end and Hamilton came out on top, five tenths quicker than Leclerc.

With a few minutes left, George Russell had a snap of oversteer at turn four and found the gravel, hitting the barriers backwards. The red flag was brought out for a second time, and with barely any time left in the session, it was not restarted.
