Liberty Media is shaking up different parts of Formula 1. One of those parts, which is set to change next year, is the calendar. According to the latest reports, the Mexican Grand Prix will be on the 2020 calendar after a funding increase.

Hanoi and Zandvoort are the first two additions made since Liberty Media took over. With these two races coming in, there's expected to be a couple of leavers. Spain, Britain, Mexican, Brazil, Italy and Germany are most under threat.

According to Motorsport-total, the Spanish and German Grands Prix will be the two events to face the cut in 2020. Motorsport-total report the following:

“After months of discussion, however, the government will have made money available, were it not to the same extent as before. A well-informed source has said that it is very likely that there is a deal where Mexico will save the United Kingdom and Italy. Spain and Germany then fall outside the boat."

Mexican driver Sergio Perez wants to ensure he still has a home Formula 1 race. "I hope the Grand Prix stays on the calendar. It is a great event for F1 as well as for fans and the country."
