Ferrari driver Sebastian Vettel has dismissed rumours saying the German will retire from Formula 1 at the end of the season.

It's been a thoroughly disappointing start to the 2019 season for Vettel, whose P2 in Monaco was his highest position of the season so far for Scuderia - who have been completely outclassed by Mercedes.

Vettel is yet to win a race this season, and with new team-mate Charles Leclerc, the four-time world champion is under more pressure this campaign.

The German driver is contracted at the Maranello-based team until the end of the 2020 season. However, rumours regarding Vettel's future began to circulate, but he has now insisted that he has not considered retirement just yet.

"I have no plans to stop," Vettel insisted to Auto Bild. "I still have lots of fun, and I still have something to do at Ferrari. We want to try everything again this season to bring about the turnaround and the Canadian Grand Prix should be the beginning."
