Verstappen: "I can't say anything about Gasly"
Max Verstappen and Pierre Gasly have had contrasting fortunes this season, but the Dutchman has admitted he's unaware of any problems his Red Bull teammate could be facing, following the French Grand Prix.
Verstappen qualified fourth and finished fourth at the race at the Paul Ricard circuit continuing his run of never finishing lower than he qualified this season. Gasly meanwhile finished outside of the points for the first time since retiring in Baku as he came across the line P11, to end a disappointing home race.
Speaking after the race Verstappen admitted he wasn't in a position to talk about Gasly's car because they're all different.
"I can only talk about myself," Verstappen told Sky Sports.
"I can't say anything about driving Gasly. I drive my car, he drives his car. Every car is different. You notice that immediately."
The Dutchman is also unaware of any problems his teammate might be having, adding: "I don't know if and, if so, what problems he has.
"As a team, we are simply short of everything that is currently lacking."
