Bottas "looking forward" to his "opportunity to improve"
Whilst at Mercedes, Valtteri Bottas has never been beaten by his teammate at the Austrian Grand Prix. The Finn will hope that he can continue this run this weekend as he looks to improve on his second place performance at the French Grand Prix. Bottas has been working on his starts and hopes that he will be on pole so he can put the practice to good use.
"It would be nice to get a good result," Bottas said to the Official F1 Website. "In the past, it's been a good track for me and the challenge is to keep it that way. Every year you can always learn something new so there's a good opportunity to improve. I'm looking forward to it.
"There's been a couple of poles for me this year that I've not been able to turn it into a win. One or two of them were because of my starts so I have progressed and I now feel more comfortable with those. Sometimes you get good ones and then sometimes bad ones. I've been working a lot on those but first, you need to be on pole!"
Bottas will hope to perform well at the track that has given him success in the past and take the battle for the championship to his teammate.
