Raymond Vermeulen, Max Verstappen's manager, has confirmed that the Dutchman has a performance clause in his contract with Red Bull. However, Vermeulen says this doesn't mean he'll be moving teams next season.

Vermeulen, who was speaking the Dutch website Formule1.nl, the clause is for the long term, not only for the 2020 season but beyond that. However, the management does not want to make any further statements about the content of the clause.

The aim of Verstappen's management is to make Max the youngest world champion ever: “The goal is to become world champion with Red Bull. In 2015 we started at Red Bull with the aim of making Verstappen the youngest world champion ever. We still want to do this."

"We really like it at Red Bull, but we also want to win."
