Verstappen expecting a "challenging" race in Germany
Max Verstappen is expecting a tough but fun weekend at the German Grand Prix next time out and is looking forward to the flocks of Dutch fans invading the Hockenheimring.
Verstappen has been in great form of late, winning at Red Bull's home race in Austria with some stunning overtakes, before performing well at Silverstone until he was wiped out by Sebastian Vettel, which all but ended his podium hopes. With Gasly's best result of the year in Britain and Max's incredible consistency, he has reflected on the team's current run of form.
"We’re on a good run with the car and improving every weekend, so I can’t wait to get started again," Verstappen told verstappen.nl.
The Dutchman also previewed the upcoming German Grand Prix and he is expecting difficult conditions but he is relishing the challenge.
“I like the German Grand Prix and there are always lots of Dutch fans to support us at Hockenheim as it’s not far to travel.
"The stadium section is very cool as you enter into a fast corner and then a banked corner with only a small area of run-off.
"I think it’s going to be a warm weekend again which is always more challenging and more fun."
