Nico Hulkenberg speaks about his future amid Formula E speculation!
Nico Hulkenberg has denied rumours that he could be heading to Formula E as his F1 future is up in the air.
Hulkenberg has no contract with Renault for next season and the team have a pool of talented youngsters in their driver academy, casting some doubt over the German's future.
One option Hulkenberg could be eyeing up is Romain Grosjean's Haas seat, with the French driver expected to be dropped by the team at the end of the season.
However, in motorsport, it's always good to have options opened and there have been murmurs of WEC or Formula E for Hulkenberg, but he says he only has eyes for F1.
According to GrandPrix247, Hulkenberg said: “I’m not ready for Formula E yet. I like what I’m doing. It will obviously depend on the opportunities available, but for now, I’m focusing exclusively on Formula 1.
“There are always rumours, it’s like that in F1. I’m still pretty confident about staying in Formula 1. There is not much that has changed since last week."
Hulkenberg sits 14th as it stands in the drivers' standings, having scored just one point in the last four races.
