Verstappen: "It has been better since we got the new front wing in Austria"
Max Verstappen continues to impress this season, and the Red Bull driver has revealed their performance has been better since they introduced their new front at the Austrian Grand Prix.
Verstappen has been in inspired form as of late, winning two of the last four races and pushing Lewis Hamilton all the way in Hungary. It has seen him close the gap to just seven points between him and Valtteri Bottas in second place in the Drivers' Championship.
Red Bull have won four consecutive World Championships with Sebastian Vettel in the cockpit, largely thanks to their superior chassis and although Honda surprise many the regulations have meant Red Bull have fallen behind, Ferrari and Mercedes. In an interview with MotorSport Magazine, Verstappen spoke about the improvements their front wing has undergone, saying: "It has been better since we got the new front wing in Austria."
He also spoke about how the regulation changes have affected Red Bull. He added: "The latest regulations hurt us; we were really good at designing the front wing around the car and with these new wings it's a bit easier to lock the fronts again.
"The stability of the car when steering is all a bit more disconnected than before."
