Nicholas Latifi set to test for Williams at Belgian Grand Prix
Formula 2 driver Nicholas Latifi will drive one of the Williams cars during the first free practice at the Belgium Grand Prix. It is not yet known which driver he will replace. It is not the first time that Latifi has tested for Williams. The last time was in France and according to Race-Engineer Dave Robson, he can now do that again to give feedback about the improvements that have been made since then.
"Nicholas will join us on Friday. It becomes interesting to hear his opinion about the changes the car has undergone since France. Especially after we saw improved performance in Budapest."
The Canadian driver is certainly looking forward to it. “After the summer break, I always have an extra urge to get in the car. It feels a long time ago that you were in the chair for the last time. To have the possibility to drive the current Formula 1 cars on a circuit like Spa is very special.”
It will be interesting to see which driver he replaces. George Russell was thought to have a virus last week but is said to be fit for this weekend so maybe they will rest him for the session.
