Mercedes expect a tough weekend at Monza

Mercedes boss Toto Wolff has admitted that he knows that it will be tough for either of his drivers to win in Italy this weekend, with Ferrari the favourites at Monza. The format of the track at Monza does favour the Ferrari on the whole.
Wolff remained positive but felt that it's going to be difficult for Mercedes to keep on top of the grid this weekend.
We do not expect that the Italian Grand Prix will be an easy weekend. Monza is the F1 power circuit, which rewards high power and reduced drag", Wolff said.
"Even though we have the fastest overall package on the grid, it's not ideal for a track where straight-line speed is a key driver of performance.
"However, we also saw that the Ferrari seemed powerful on the high-speed tracks on Saturday, but not as strong on Sunday and that's when the points are scored. We will not be the favourites in Italy, but we will do everything in our power to face the red team this weekend. "
Ferrari's Charles Leclerc claimed victory last weekend in Belgium ahead of Mercedes' Lewis Hamilton and Valtteri Bottas so takes confidence into this weekend after claiming the cars first victory of the season.
