Verstappen lashes out at Rosberg: "He has never been credible"
After his Belgium Grand Prix crash, Nico Rosberg was very critical of Max Verstappen. In his vlog, the 2016 Formula 1 world champion jokingly said that Verstappen was back at his old level prior to Monaco 2018.
Verstappen certainly doesn't take Rosberg's criticism lightly. “I don't really care what he says in his podcast. I think he's becoming the new Jacques Villeneuve - who has actually become less bad now. Nico is the new one. I guess he just wants to attract viewers/listeners," Verstappen told the media in Italy.
It is not surprising that Verstappen makes a comparison with Jacques Villeneuve. The Canadian was very critical of Verstappen in the past. He was one of the people who thought he made his debut in Formula 1 at a very young age.
“He called me a narcissist early this year, I found that a bit extreme. Nico has never been credible, even as a driver. It's his problem. He has no appeal and can't get a job. I don't know what he wants, more viewers? Money? He should have kept driving to earn a lot more!”
