Renault boss admits that beating McLaren isn't their only goal

Renault secured a positive finish in Italy with Daniel Ricciardo ending up in 4th while teammate Nico Hulkenberg secured a 5th place finish. The team set a goal of finishing in the top four of the constructors' standings and to try and narrow the gap on the top three teams.
The team are currently fifth in the standings 18 points behind McLaren as they look to close the gap moving forward towards the end of the season.
Renault team boss Cyril Abiteboul has admitted that it will be challenging for the team to catch up towards the end of the season.
"The weaknesses of our car are still there, so it will be difficult to catch up this season," Abiteboual said in an interview with the official Formula 1 website.
"In some jobs, they will be faster than us and vice versa. We have not often succeeded in this so far.
“But our goal is not only to beat McLaren. Our goal is to become better everywhere and in relation to everyone. P4 and P5 is good, but we don't want to stop there."
There are seven races remaining in the 2019 season and with plenty of points still up for grabs, the battle for fourth place is going to be interesting.
