The Russian Grand Prix was "one of my greatest races that I can remember"
Sergio Perez performed well at the Russian Grand Prix and finished the race in 7th place. The Racing Point driver performed really well over the weekend and had blistering pace during the race. The Mexican believes that it was the best he has performed at a Grand Prix in recent memory.
“It was a very good race for us today," Perez said after the race. "I’m very pleased with how we maximized the result. I think it’s been one of my greatest races that I can remember.
"We had a good start and great management throughout the stints, knowing when to fight and when to hold back, and that made a huge difference. We were unlucky with the timing of the Safety Car, but we recovered and we took every single opportunity.
"Since the summer break, we’ve been on it and we’ve been scoring some important points. We worked hard for it today and we couldn’t have done any better.”
Perez will hope that he can continue to perform like this for the rest of the season and that Racing Point continues to develop.
