Button is full of praise: "Hamilton's fighting spirit is fascinating"
Jenson Button is full of praise for his former teammate at McLaren. Button, who was present at the Russian Grand Prix with Sky Sports, also had time to comment on the Formula 1 politics at Ferrari.
Button was often given the favours over Rubens Barrichello during his F1 world championship-winning season in 2009. However, the Brit doesn't understand the thought process at Ferrari.
"I don't understand what they do at Ferrari. Why keep that agreement intact if Vettel is so much faster and needs no benefit at all from the agreement? He had to fight for it and I think it is very strange that he has to give up that position," Button tells Speedweek.com
"You can easily drive with two drivers side by side and both lead, but the situation at Ferrari is now very strange. Then one person is favoured and then another person," says Button.
"It's good that we don't have another win from Ferrari because that keeps it exciting for the Formula 1 audience. For Lewis, it is also good, because he really has to fight again for the victory and then he really shows the fighting spirit that we are used to from him," Button concludes.
