Eddie Irvine: "Leclerc is much, much better" than Verstappen
- Tom Mason
Eddie Irvine has admitted that he feels Charles Leclerc is the superior driver over Max Verstappen, despite there only being nine points between the two in the current constructors' championship with just four races remaining.
Leclerc is in just his second season in F1 and has already made a strong impression, winning back to back races at Spa and Monza, while Verstappen also has two races wins this season.
“There is no argument, Leclerc is much, much better, " Irvine said
“He has four poles this year and he does not even have the best car in F1, sorry Ferrari.
“While Verstappen continues to make many stupid mistakes despite having been in F1 for years, many more than Leclerc.
“Charles looks to be very focused and someone who doesn’t make mistakes."
