It's race day! Or is it title day for Lewis Hamilton? The British driver needs just four points to win his sixth Formula 1 world championship in today's United States Grand Prix? Follow all the action and find out in our liveblog below!

The Grid

Valtteri Bottas put in a sublime first lap in the final qualifying session at COTA and that was strong enough to give the Mercedes driver pole position for the United States Grand Prix. Bottas, the only other driver left in the F1 world championship, has Sebastian Vettel starting next to him. Hamilton finds himself behind Max Verstappen and Charles Leclerc in fifth place.

Once again McLaren claimed the 'best of the rest' position. Carlos Sainz and Lando Norris start from P7 and P8 as they look to wrap up fourth place in the constructors' championship. Daniel Ricciardo will be breathing down their necks in P9. Rounding out the top 10 in Pierre Gasly.

Things to look out for

They've made some track changes overnight. At turn 8, there is a sausage kerb to stop drivers running slightly wide and therefore gaining an advantage into the following corner. This is going to be policed today.

And of course, Hamilton needs Bottas to fail in winning the race or finish in 8th place or above.
