Brazilian GP FP1 report | Alex Albon tops the time sheet and also crashes out!
Alex Albon topped the timesheets in a wet FP1 session at the Brazilian Grand Prix. The Red Bull driver went out on the slick tyre at the end of the session and crashed into a wall causing the session to be Red Flagged and ended early.
It was a wet and slow start to FP1 at the Brazilian Grand Prix. The rain meant that teams waited until the track dried out before heading out. Drivers started the session on the full wet tyre and after about 30 mins of running the swapped and used the inter tyre.

A few drivers waited until the track dried out to head out on the track. Alex Albon waited until just under 20 minutes were showing on the clock and immediately set the fastest time of the session.
With around five minutes left, drivers headed out on the slick tyres. Lewis Hamilton and Max Verstappen joined Charles Leclerc as the drivers had a shootout to top the timesheet in the final minutes.
Verstappen spun and so did his Red Bull teammate Alex Albon who lost grip and hit the tyre barrier causing a Red Flag.
