Sebastian Vettel has been there before, but this time it happened at Ferrari. The German collided with his teammate, Charles Leclerc, during the Brazilian Grand Prix which ended both of their races. According to Vettel, things were going pretty well up until the point when they came together, even if he couldn't catch up with race winner Max Verstappen

Vettel started from the front row was cruising until his teammate came up behind him. Vettel gives his apology to the team and alludes to just how much work the Ferrari team put in.

"The summary of the day is that we did not finish a race in which we could have got a good result. It’s a shame about the collision between us, especially for the team as a whole, given that both cars were in the points and considering how much work everyone puts in, both at the track and back in Maranello," Vettel said.

"From my point of view, the race was going well, even if I think that Max (Verstappen) was uncatchable today. Now we must just focus on the final race of the season where will try and bring home the best possible result."

As a result of the DNF, Vettel can no longer finish third in the world championship. That place is now between Verstappen and Leclerc.
