Albon is confident after Red Bull simulator work: "It feels much better"
Alex Albon will begin his second season in Formula 1 in just a few weeks time. The Aston Martin Red Bull Racing driver picked up a promotion mid-way through his debut year after impressing Helmut Marko and co.
Having had a full winter break to prepare, Albon believes he is ready for the upcoming year. From testing on the simulator, he is confident things are going to be good for himself and Max Verstappen.
"From last year to this year, I have done a lot of simulation sessions. Even before Barcelona, I know a little bit the direction we are going. It feels much better. You have that good feeling and the team has it, hopefully, it will turn out to be something great. We will see when we go on the circuit in Barcelona and if it works well," he said to Sky Sports
Winter break
Mercedes easily claimed the 2019 F1 world championship. Albon says Red Bull Racing know what Mercedes can do, but it's all about how well they've each developed during the winter.
“Of course we have to realize that Mercedes is still the champion. We are going to improve, but so are Mercedes and Ferrari. We will see how much and who improved the most," Albon added.
