Binotto admits worries ahead of 2020 F1 season: "Car not competitive enough"
Ferrari, unlike last year during Formula 1 winter testing in Barcelona, have not made an impression. The car is fast at certain points, but it is also clear that other teams are faster and the midfield teams are closer. Team boss Mattia Binotto says that they still have some work to do. Sebastian Vettel topped the timesheets today, while Charles Leclerc enters the car on Friday.
Not quick enough
In front of the Sky Sports camera, the Italian says: "As we have said in recent days, we are not fast enough right now. But the season is long and we are fast in turns, but that does not make us the fastest. We must look at what we must address in terms of developments."
The racing team thereby acknowledges that they will have a hard time and although they draw hope from a long season, Binotto realizes that at the start of the season they cannot compete for the victories: "The car is not competitive enough to be a challenge at the start of the season."
