Circuit Paul Ricard confirmed to undergo layout changes to improve racing

With the 2019 French Grand Prix facing heavy criticism for its lack of excitement, with some even calling it the most 'boring race of the century', Circuit Paul Ricard have announced they have plans to adjust the track to improve racing.
Since returning to the F1 calendar in 2018, the French Grand Prix has hardly been a highlight in the season. Both races at Paul Ricard have been ones to forget with Lewis Hamilton winning both with relative ease.
Former McLaren team principal Eric Boullier, now an ambassador for the race in his home country, told Canal+ changes will be made for 2020, although some of the changes have to be postponed to next year because of the coronavirus outbreak.
"It's a project which was developed together by the FOM, the FIA and the Circuit Paul Ricard," Boullier said.
"For now, we have to wait until we get more clarity in our daily lives. Either way, we've found solutions that should improve overtaking and drivers have to take less risk to do so."
Bigger changes were planned to be made for 2021, but these will have to be postponed. Boullier remains hopeful they can be made in time for the 2022 season, when the technical regulations get overhauled.
