Williams has been in a valley for years and after a £19 million loss in 2019, the end is near. Williams is going to restructure and is looking for new investors, perhaps to sell the company altogether.

Condolences for Williams

Frank Williams built his own team from the ground up and achieved great successes with his race stable. Drivers such as Alain Prost, Nigel Mansell and Nelson Piquet rode in front of Williams' stable with many world titles as a result. Now, however, the company is in sales to a certain extent, which daughter Claire Williams is still trying to justify.

''I have received many messages from people who send some kind of condolence. I get it, but I'm looking at this situation very positively. This is going to help us to be much more sustainable in the future and to achieve our goals as a team. The people here understand that, but they also find it exciting," said Williams to Sky Sports.

Williams can race

With the departure of main sponsor RoKiT, Williams doesn't have all the time to find a new investor, although Claire says she has enough money to race this year. ''We have a full budget to race this season and the team won't have to change. The only thing that will be different is the livery'', said Clair.

''We want to do as well as we always do and we can't wait to go back to the track. We've worked hard to make a U-turn with Williams and we were able to show that in Barcelona. Now I'm looking forward to showing it in the first race'', concludes Williams.
