Lewis Hamilton has spoken out strongly against racism since the revival of the 'Black Lives Matter' movement. He also appealed to the Formula 1 world, which according to him is too white. According to Craig Slater of Sky Sports, the F1 world has heard Hamilton's criticisms loud and clear and will come with an appropriate response during the Austrian Grand Prix.

According to Slater, Hamilton's comments in recent weeks, among other things, have made many people think, but will actually be followed up by action. "This is exactly what Hamilton wanted to achieve by speaking out so strongly about this, but he also says that this is only the beginning and a lot still has to be changed".

Hamilton is therefore likely to kneel during the Austrian GP on the Red Bull Ring. Just as many American athletes have done in recent years. It's just the question of when he chooses to do so.

Hamilton will receive support from several teams

"At the beginning of this season there will be no podium ceremony and no national anthem before the start of the race. The question was whether drivers and teams will have the opportunity to show their support and I understand that the organisers are going to make room for that. We'll hear the details later this week".

According to Slater, Hamilton will not be alone in his protest, but several teams have come to the conclusion that they also have a responsibility in this. So we can assume that we will at least get a gesture or statement from several parties during that first race weekend.
