Max Verstappen said he wouldn't need the tests, but the Dutchman is allowed to take action anyway before the first race in Austria. Red Bull Racing will test on Thursday at Silverstone.

After Mercedes, Racing Point and Renault, Red Bull Racing is going to make some meter prior to the first Grand Prix of 2020 in Austria. At the Red Bull Ring in Spielberg Red Bull should make a good start to the F1 season in 2020, but to do so it will be testing around the corner of its own factory in Milton Keynes, namely at Silverstone.

Red Bull gets started

After a long break, Honda and Red Bull are already working hard to finally get another shot at the world title in 2020 and to increase those chances, Alexander Albon and Max Verstappen will enter the RB16 on Thursday 25 June. The drivers will be allowed to get into the newest car, despite the restrictions on testing.

For this Red Bul uses the still open film day, where Albon and Verstappen are allowed to drive a maximum of 100 kilometres on the feeling of getting back in the car. According to the Italian Motorsport.it, Red Bull will also bring the latest updates directly to the circuit, which should help Verstappen to win in Austria.
