Max Verstappen can already request a new update of Honda in Austria. The men in Japan have worked hard to have a new engine ready for the first race of the Formula 1 season after the winter tests.
During the winter tests Red Bull Racing and Mercedes already emerged as the two strongest teams for this season. Of course they remain tests, but at least the omens are good. Red Bull will come up with an update to the car itself, but Honda is now also announcing that they will also be travelling to Austria with an update.
New Honda engine for Verstappen
A so-called version 1.1 takes Honda to Austria, according to Yasuaki Asaki. The man who oversees Honda's programme in Sakura confirms to the Polish F1wm.pl that a new engine is ready for Red Bull and AlphaTauri in Austria.
''It's our goal to win and I'm already looking forward to the chance to become world champion," Asaki says about the new bike. Masafumi Yamamoto complements it. ''This year will be an important milestone for Honda. We want to achieve our goals and hopefully this will bring a smile to the faces of all our fans," concluded the Honda CEO.
