McLaren seems to be in heavy weather since the beginning of the corona crisis. CEO of the team Zak Brown says that in sports terms the team is in better shape than ever. McLaren hopes to put high stakes in the first weekend of 2020.
Team spirit is good
"It's unbelievable. I've never felt so close to the team. The communication between us is great and we have been able to use a lot of new technologies and methods. We feel fit and happy to return to the circuit. We will do well in Austria", said Brown in an interview with Sky Sports F1.
Brown admits that the team has not been idle despite the restrictions that COVID-19 brought with it. "We will bring some new toys as often as possible. But it will also be a lot of spare parts. We now have three races in three weeks, so we want to make sure we have enough spare parts with us", Brown says.
Money problems
In recent weeks, McLaren has been in the news more often negatively than positively. The team from Woking seems to be struggling with considerable financial problems and according to Sky News, the team is in the process of obtaining a substantial loan from the National Bank of Bahrain.
