Ferrari does not give up 2020 yet with new parts: ''We work day and night''

Ferrari will not give up the fight in 2020, but it is clear that the Italian race stable will be short on Mercedes and Red Bull Racing. CEO Louis Camilleri hates the situation, but he also praises the competition.
It became clear earlier that Ferrari has focused the arrows on 2022. Since the engine has been scaled back Ferrari is in heavy weather and with all the new measures, bridging the gap is not that easy. Chairman of FIAT, John Elkann, therefore already announced that Ferrari should focus on 2022.
Ferrari has to wait and see
Camilleri, the CEO of Ferrari, agrees but he wants to keep going. ''Next year should be better for us because we will have a whole season of races. The results are simply disappointing, but I have to congratulate our opponent, because they are just very strong. Our team is working day and night to improve this and I have every confidence in that'', says Camilleri according to Motorsport.it.
It became clear this weekend that Ferrari hasn't completely given up hope, because the Italian team came to the British Grand Prix with a new front wing and a rear wing that wouldn't have been out of place at Monza or Spa. With a bit of luck Charles Leclerc managed to end up on the podium, although Sebastian Vettel clearly had more trouble with controlling his car.
