Leclerc rewards the confidence of Ferrari: ''Impressive what he shows''

One of the highlights during the Grand Prix of Great Britain was Charles Leclerc. The Monegask received a lot of praise after his third place at Silverstone, while his teammate scored only just one point.
The pressure is high on young Leclerc's shoulders. Ferrari has already given a clear signal for the future with a multi-year contract and with the departure of Sebastian Vettel that pressure has only increased. Leclerc must repay the confidence that Ferrari has in him, but for now it is doing so perfectly.
Leclerc shines at Ferrari
Where Vettel hasn't gotten any further than ten points and a thirteenth place in the championship, Leclerc is fifth with 33 points and two podium finishes. ''Charles' podium was of course somewhat fortunate due to the failure of Bottas, but with the problems of Ferrari it's very impressive what Leclerc has shown'', Ross Brawn said in his column for Formula1.com.
The technical elite of Formula 1 is very enthusiastic about what Leclerc shows. ''He continues to deliver great results and gets more out of the car than is actually in it. He leaves us in suspense when he does have a good car, because he drives really exceptional'', says Brawn, emphasising that Ferrari has to work hard to build a competitive car.
