World Championship standings: Max Verstappen 30 points off Lewis Hamilton
Max Verstappen scored the full 25 World Championship points for the first time this weekend. The Red Bull Racing driver, therefore, passed Valtteri Bottas in the world championship standings. Currently, Verstappen sits in second place.
The 22-year-old Dutchman has managed to reduce Lewis Hamilton's lead to 30 points. The British Mercedes driver stands on 107 points, while Verstappen has managed to collect 77 points after five Grands Prix. Bottas stands on 73 points and thus has a gap of four World Championship points to close in the remaining weekends in 2020.
Charles Leclerc went through his fourth place at Silverstone to fourth place in the World Championship. Lando Norris still ranks fifth above Red Bull driver Alexander Albon.
