Alexander Albon has not yet had a good first full year with Red Bull Racing. In 2019 the Thai already failed to reach a podium and in 2020 the driver will be more busy in midfield than reaching podiums for Red Bull. Even in Monza, Albon does not expect to fight for the podiums, although he is slowly starting to feel more comfortable in the car.

"Historically, this track is not a good track for the car, but we have some changes for this weekend in terms of engine settings and, to be honest, the car feels better with less downforce. So I expect it won't feel bad to drive this weekend", Albon explains to Formula1.com.

Faster than Spa

At Spa, Red Bull was also busy with the potential rainstorms that would fall on Sunday on the Belgian circuit, which eventually arrived after the race. At Monza, however, it will remain dry, so Red Bull will focus even more on top speed. "I can tell you that we will go faster on the straight this weekend, compared to last weekend".

"I have the feeling we haven't optimised last weekend and we will this weekend. I do think Renault is going to be really fast. They seem to have found a good compromise with their top speed, while not losing much time in the corners. So it will be interesting with them", concludes Albon.
