Sergio Perez leaves Racing Point after seven years of service this season. The Mexican says he hasn't spoken to other teams yet, but there are candidates with a possibile free seat. Red Bull Racing advisor Helmut Marko says his team is not looking for a new driver.

Marko initially admits that there has been contact with the management of Perez, but there is a reason for that. "Christian Horner is in contact with the management of Perez, that is true. But that's because Julian Jakobi is also the manager of Sebastian Buemi", explains Marko in conversation with Motorsport-Magazin.com. Buemi is Red Bull's current simulator driver.

No need

Marko confirms that Red Bull is not currently looking for new drivers. "As long as Alexander Albon continues to develop positively, there is no need for us", says the Austrian. In addition to experience and strong results, Perez can also bring millions in sponsorship money.

What Red Bull may be struggling with is the fact that Albon rides under a Thai flag. The driver may not bring millions with him, but Red Bull is of Thai origin. Fifty-one per cent of the business is in the hands of Thai people.
